Helix Autosport Clutch Drive Plate - Organic
Drive plates are wearable components and, if you have a Helix clutch kit installed, we can now offer a replacement if yours is worn. These drive plates will suit the Helix pressure plate as well as the standard MINI pressure plate.
For road applications you will require the organic drive plate. These are 215mm in diameter and rated to approximately 194lb/ft of torque (265Nm). The unsprung version is designed for use with the OEM flywheel. The sprung version is for an Aluminium flywheel, which features 6 damper springs arranged radially around the hub centre.
The organic plate is best suited to road use but it can be used for light competition and track days. It is designed to be more progressive in engagement (as opposed to the paddle style plate) and far less prone to judder upon take up. The friction material is high quality and the facings are metal backed in order to give them higher burst strength.
Please note that if used with the standard pressure plate that the torque ratings will reduce by approximately 5%.
